About us
We are a friendly horse riding centre and animal rescue with a small children’s farm near Lagos, Portugal.
We started by rescuing horses and donkeys and as the number of animals we rescued increased we decided to purchase some wonderful horses and offer horse riding and children’s pony rides to help fund our rescue work and secure the future of our animals.
We offer horse rides from beginner to more advanced riders on hacks/trail rides in the beautiful Algarve countryside escorted by experienced guides.
We provide a fantastic experience for our clients – adults and children alike, whether it’s your child's first time on a pony, a beginner walk ride or you are looking for a faster hack for more experienced riders.
Safety, your satisfaction and the welfare of our horses are our three main considerations.
We hold a Tourism Licence (RNAAT Number 212/2024) and insurance. Our team are experienced riders and first aid qualified.
Hacks & Trail Rides
All rides are private and you are welcome to book an individual horse ride or with a group of friends. For safety reasons, your group will be limited to the appropriate horse ride for the person with the least experience. If you are a group with mixed horse riding experience, please considering booking separate rides so we can ensure that everyone has a great time.
We offer horse rides during daylight hours, 7 days a week. During July and August we only ride first thing in the morning or in the evening when it is cooler. This is for the welfare of our horses and frankly, the comfort of our clients, staff and volunteers.
All prices include IVA (VAT) at the current rate of 23%
Beginner Rides

Beginners Walk Ride (30 Mins) - €25 (Min 2 Riders)
Never ridden before and not sure about being on a horse for an hour? Maybe a 30 minute ride is a better starting point for you. Same as our 60 Minute Beginners Walks ride, but shorter. We must have a minimum of two riders for a 30 minute ride.

Beginners Walk Ride (60 mins) - €40
The perfect ride for the beginner, riders trying to regain their confidence or just for someone who wants to take it easy! No expectations, just an hour’s ride on one of our beautiful horses around the scenic Algarve countryside. Plenty of opportunities for our guide to take pictures of you!

Walk/Trot Ride (60 mins) - €40
If you have ridden before and have the ability to rise/post to the trot then how about a nice walk and trot ride through the beautiful Algarve countryside? Just ask your wonderful guide who will be happy to take photos of you to remember your ride!
Advanced Rides

Walk/Trot/Canter (60 mins) - €50
If you have more experience and have cantered on multiple occasions (voluntarily!), how about taking things to the next level with a walk, trot and canter ride in the beautiful Portuguese countryside. It doesn’t get better than blasting up a hill!

Walk/Trot/Canter Ride (90 Mins) - €70
Need more than an hour in the saddle? We get it. A lot of our experienced riders prefer more than an hour on a faster ride so how about a 90 minute walk, trot, canter hack?
Children’s Rides

Pony Ride (15 Mins) - €15
Perfect little pony ride for children who haven’t ridden before or those who may not want to spend too long in the saddle! A walk around the farm on a pony while looking at the goats, mini pigs, donkeys and other horses as we go. A great photo or video opportunity!

Children's Ride (30 Mins) - €25
Perfect pony ride for slightly older children who have ridden before and will happily stay in the saddle all day! A longer walk round the farm or out in the country being led by one of our team. Also makes a lovely walk for the rest of the family. Great photo or video opportunity!

Children's Birthday Parties
Give your child and their friends a birthday party to remember! Tailored to your needs and can include pony rides and close interaction with the farm animals in their enclosures (under supervision). Please contact us for details.
Age ranges for chldren’s rides are between 3 and 12.
